Cloudfront with Wordpress

Is content served from CloudFront?

Voiced by Amazon Polly

One of the things I find myself looking for often is where my content is being served. In most cases, I want it to be coming from Cloudfront or some other CDN. I also want to be able to see this quickly. So here, we will show you how to set up your Chrome Browser to give you this information quickly.

When you open up the Chrome Browser and select View > Developer > Developer Tools then select the net work tab and refresh the site you are inspecting you will get a screen that looks similar to the one below.

From there, we really can’t easily see the information that we are looking for, so to fix that, we will right-click on the bar with the first option of Name, as shown below, and select Response Headers > Manage Header Columns.

Here we Click Add custom header. For our header Name, we will type in x-cache and click add.

Then we can refresh the page we want to see the details for, and we will be able to quickly identify if the content is indeed being served by CloudFront as seen below

If you find this helpful, please let us know below. If you have anything to add, we would love to hear your feedback as well!
