We are all chasing low site load times. We also know that one of the best ways to help accomplish this is to use a CDN. What is a CDN, you might be asking? A CDN is a content delivery network. Cloudfront is AWSs’ CDN.

Wikipedia says this: Amazon Cloudfront is a content delivery network operated by Amazon Web Services. Content delivery networks provide a globally distributed network of proxy servers that cache content, such as web videos or other bulky media, more locally to consumers, thus improving access speed for downloading the content.

When using CF with WordPress, you have some options for your setup. If you are using the AWS Plugin, it has the ability to configure CF for you. Yes, I know; there are some caveats to this. It would be best to have your solution be completely housed in AWS for the plugin to do all the work.

What if your solution is not all in AWS? You can still use CF. I will save that configuration for another article.
